RTX 3050 ti desktop leaked by nvidia

Nvidia seems to have leaked the 3050 ti desktop card themselves by listing a 3050 ti filter on their website.

If I'm not mistaken the 3050 TI was officially announced recently, like last week. Technically laptop announcement but I highly doubt the specs will be different really.

If it's made from GPUs that don't pass as 3060s, then it makes sense, regardless of how many they're able to provide. A sale is a sale, period.

There've been some weird, miserable silicon made from higher end hardware that just didn't pass.

First of all, those triple core Phenoms...

Secondly, the RX560 896sp and RX560D, both made from RX 560s that didn't quite make the cut. Both only have 896 shaders, but the 896sp is for laptops specifically and has different power requirements. There were a few desktop cards for both, but the 896sp is pretty uncommon as far as I can tell.

 

Interesting way to save silicon and money, but sometimes it's just not needed.

My low profile RX460 totally unlocked from 896 to 1024 flawlessly.  Other than needing a security bypass for the driver, it's great.  Just free performance AMD left on the table.

Aye. There's also been times where their process has been so good they don't have enough defective units for lower tier products, so they purposely gimp them.

Not sure how well it works on all boards, but this was just a matter of editing the vbios and flashing it on.  It just no longer passes a crypto key check by the drivers now so gotta use a little tool to force it to pass.

Oh wow, here's a 3010 iT! It's TI backwards, so it's slightly lower performance than a 3010. It's a 1050TI-performance card with 4gb of VRAM and RT cores! People need this!

Well, basically everything else is wrong with this laptop (The cpu has problems, one of the speakers doesn't work, the up arrow key is broken, and the backlight randomly turns off sometimes) so I think I might just try.

I already have one in a laptop, asus x13 flow. Decent card for 1200p so far. (Laptop is 16:10)

Creating SKUs that suck up the fallout from other SKUs actually makes sense.  Even if I don't need them myself.  Would rather the fallout items be made into something, than made into nothing.

They make sense. The Ti versions also usually come out after the original, essentially replacing them.
