Adapters or DP to HDMI?

Say if I intend to buy a ROG Scar Strix 15 G533 but also a ROG PG259QN for my desk, I was wondering if there is solution as to how I should connect it? From what I could gather, I wouldn't get 360hz if I use hdmi but only if I use DP1.4 can I get the 360hz. However, the laptop doesn't have DP. Should get adapters or DP to HDMI? Would I get 360hz from either method? If so, any drawbacks like latency or whatever?

Every single one of those laptop models on the website shows as having DP.

 

You won't get 300hz from hdmi, even if you use an adapter.

There's no point buying a DP to HDMI connector, if your laptop only have HDMI it will only be able to output HDMI signal even if you've managed to connect it to DisplayPort
