Can’t change inputs on Aorus FV43U

lerodemmy

I have my PC connected via DP and my PS5 connected to HDMI 1.  I can’t switch to HDMI 1 when the PC is on.

If I shut down the PC, the monitor switches to HDMI 1 and the PS5 is displayed on the screen.  If the PC is on and I try to switch to HDMI 1, the screen goes black for a few seconds and just switches back to DP.

This is very frustrating.

Yup, I have this same issue.  I hate having to physically disconnect my display port to get PS5.  Really annoying.  Trying to switch to HDMI 1 or 2, doesn't matter.  It just...doesn't do anything.

Hopefully this can get fixed in a firmware update or something, because it's a glaring issue.

If they do review this monitor (which they should), I really, REALLY hope they bring this up.

I figured out a solution.  In the settings, turn off auto input switch.  I think that’s what it’s called.

This is what you want you.  System > Other Settings > Input Auto Switch > Off

It’s still annoying because the monitor might take over 25 seconds to switch from DP to HDMI.  I find this inexcusable in a high-end 2021 monitor.  I’ve been switching from PC (DP) to console (HDMI) on different monitors for several years and it always takes maybe five seconds at this most.  At least it works, I guess.
