what is the price of the Liqid Element LQD4500 it is for a nas plz don't comment and say I cant afford it I already have 100gb networking

I think they fall squarely in the "if you have to ask, it's more than you can afford" territory.

 

Besides, why do you need that kind of performance for a NAS? HDDs are almost always enough performance for the average small NAS.

Usually using nas you want to have a big capacity and hdd is fine for it

If you care about the speed 500gb - 1tb ssd whether be nvme or even sata  as a cache drive would be sufficient though it's only help with write and hot/warm data that stored into the nas

I didn't really know what pirce meant, so I thought he was saying piece...and i was about to direct him to the webpage where you have to fill out a form. Now, technically, this form is meant for businesspeople, but ig he could fill it out. Liqid makes products that are really only meant for enterprises, so I don't think he'd want more than a bunch of Ironwolf Pros, unless that's out of his budget. Sorry, I'm not really into the server space that much, so idk all the prices.

It's hidden behind "request quote" so you probably can't even buy it standalone, and if you could it would be multiple thousands of $...

If you want massive NVMe BW for some reason use a mobo with bifurcation support and one of the quad SSD cards that don't use a PCIe switch and thus only cost $100 or so.
