Is my power supply good enough

I have a cooler master mwe 650w 80 plus bronze power supply and it is v1 with ketchup mustard cable.

Is it a good power supply for my build?

Specs:

Pro ryzen 7 3700x

Mobo: msi mpg x570 gaming plus carbon wifi 

Ram: 8×2gb

Gpu: planning to buy a rtx 3070

It's good enough for your current build, but not good enough for a 3070.

The Be Quiet PSU Calculator gives 460W Max draw with the 3070,

This seems a very safe margin to me

You can keep that psu

Double forward on the primairy, low quality and loud fanprofile. No, you're not gonna like that thing in your system.

It's not about the rated wattage, it's about the quality of the PSU.

Well, if you are who you're supposed to be, I bow.

Did some light research, didn't find much.

I'd still try that psu if it were mine.

A piece of hardware only needs to be good at what it does. It doesn't need to match/reflect another piece's price tag.

And a 3070 isn't worth a 1000usd even if that's the case now.

Thanks i will keep this for a year and change it when i have enough money to buy a good one.

If I got this right, it has a lot to do with SATA HDDs and SSDs being out (no load on the 5V).

So a double forward PSU would still be ok with an Ampere card if you had those (personaly I do) ?
