Rtx 2080 stuck on 7000mz memory clock

I came for for help my brother’s graphics card is showing 7000mhz on the memory clock i dont know if this is a bug in the new geforce update but gpu-z show its @ 1750mhz witch is reasonable for but it started mess up his zoom collage courses i was thinking of doing a DDU in safe mode or wait for a msi afterburn update

That is normal. The RAM is running at 1750Mhz and quad pumped so the effective freq is 1750Mhz x 4 = 7000Mhz.

 

Rather confusing for a noob, but perfectly ordinary.

It very well may have been, but I hope you are not basing that conclusion on the idle clock speeds you just posted vs the load clock speeds that you posted earlier, because all of these have been nominal.

That first photo was before i was about to leave his pc and he started playing a game but i can guarantee it was idleing at 7000 be with nothing running except msi afterburn and gpu-z
