Enable "System Files" and the missing files will show up. Windows hides thumbs.db because generally you don't need to see it.

(Folder Options > View > uncheck "Hide protected operating system files")

Hello i tried for the first time FreeFileSync software.

I copied all files from a folder to another disk using the software.

Then when i compare both folder in freefilesync it says it's the same and all good but when i click properties in windows on both folders that were copied the original one is 153 261 files and then the copied files on the other disk is 153 084 files.

Freefilesync says it's 246 376 files in both folders and all is suposed to be the same on both sides...

What is happening?....

Why does it says 262 756 at the bottom middle button?

So now i check one folder on the original disk and the copied version has 20 file inside when i open them and count them in both folders, but this same folder says 21 files when i click properties on the original and 20 files in the properties of the copied folder.... wtf.... I enabled the "hidden files" option in windows.

It's just all images in this folder but for some reason windows properties says 21 for the original folder and 20 for the copied one....

So just to try i deleted this folder on the copied disk, then i manualy copied the original in windows, pasted to the other disk and now both says 21 files in properties...

FFS by default skips thumbs.db and other system files. They aren't strictly necessary (Windows will rebuild if needed), but can be reenabled in the sync filter settings.
