Laptop's i7-10750h is 98° okay?

Is 98° okay? been playing apex legends and I saw the temps. If not how do I undervolt it? I'm currently using a Acer Predator Helios 300 GTX 1660 ti.

It'll throttle down.  I've never heard of a laptop cpu catching fire.

If you want to control the throttling, get throttle stop.

That's really hot.

Mobile chips naturally run a little hotter than their desktop counterparts due to tight spaces and limited cooling, but I definitely wouldn't be comfortable with those temps.

 

I used to have a laptop with a 9750h, and I used Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to apply a -125 undervolt to my cpu.

That dropped my temps by about 15-20 degrees.

 

You should easily be able to start with -100, and then apply and test, then keep dropping it -005 at a time until it locks up while running a test such as cinebench.

Reboot the machine and scale it back to where it was stable, then save the profile and apply.

That's the jist of it.

 

You may also want to get a can of compressed air, open up the back of the case, and give a good spray to the fans/vents.

As long you never see 101°C (and i'm very sure, you never will), there is no problem.

Manufacturers often use that maximum threshold to squeeze as much performance out. Sometimes just for burst, and for long term Load, they throttle down to <90°C.

 

Lower Temperature in a Notebook always equals to lower Performance and/or louder Fans. And fans do have a limit of how much heat they can actually take away.

 

Just let the System handle this. Trust me, a CPU is extremely difficult to actually damage.

I would say so
I think that is not going to be your biggest problem in the long run. I would say it is manageable, but you could think about lifting the device to a desk, like Dennis did in the worst set-ups at LMG. Higher temps equal less performance, but if that is not causing problems to your use, I would say it is fine
