Monitor won't go to sleep

As the title says i can't get my monitor to enter sleep, i do not want my PC to sleep just the display but everytime it hits the time it's supposed to it briefly goes black then instantly wakes up showing the input (DP 1.2) in this case, i started with HDMI and switched seeing if it's change anything but no luck, this is also a new PC i built several days ago now, fully updated.

Monitor: Gigabyte G27Q

I have tried adjusting power plan settings left and right, looking in my task manager for apps that may keep it awake like Discord, Nvidia Shadow Play, things that people have had issues with before but i am at a loss now. I know it CAN sleep, because when putting my PC to sleep the monitor also slept.
