New Build for Video Editing & VFX

Budget (including currency): Flexible

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe (premiere, AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) and Davinci Resolve (including Fusion). I would like to be able to edit 4k footage and maybe future proof for 8k.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I want to build a PC that will be able to handle all of my video/graphics software. I am currently using a laptop, but want to build a setup and have more reliability. After a lot of research, I came up with a list of parts I thought would be good. I didn't really pay attention to price, just what I thought would be best and figured I could go from there and see what I really need.

This is my current list:

Is there anything that I should change about this build? I would love to get the total price down, but don't want to compromise performance too much. I will most likely be waiting until maybe next January or whenever I can get these parts close to MSRP.

$3930.52 (Actually around $4500)

What do you intend to use the third drive for? You could save $200 by just ditching the 1TB one. Ryzen is fairly sensitive to slower memory, and especially in this tier of a build, 3000MHz is simply not enough; I'd recommend 3600MHz CL14, which will be notably more expensive, but does provide actual gains. Not that I want to impede on whatever theme you're going for, but that case is definitely not budget conscious and is far from ergonomic; Something like a 5000D airflow is cheaper & will make the build process much easier to understand, as well as providing several features that this pyramid leaves out.

I was planning on having the software on the 1tb, footage and current projects on the 2tb, and then the 10tb as the long term storage of everything. Thank you for letting me know about the memory speed. I will definitely look into 3600MHz ram. I was trying to figure out if i need 32gb or 64gb, but  there is so much conflicting info, so i just went with 64. As for the case, I realize that it isn't really practical. I think I just liked it because it looked so different from everything else, but I think I need to be realistic and pick a more conventional case, especially if i end up getting the rtx3080 (won't fit in the current planned case). Thank you for your help and input!

This seems like a decent build, but I think this is slightly improved.

For after effects you'll benefit from having 64 gigs over 32. You could have your system installed on a 2.5" SATA SSD to save some money without compromising much performance, and maybe look into a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD for your project drive. The performance gain mightn't me huge but if you can have it for not much money... Why not?

Thank you both for your help! I just started learning about all of this and it is a lot.
