Help me update my MSI B350M Mortar / R5 3600

The MSI site is really needlessly confusing to me and Im not sure which BIOS to install the "BETA" or the regular one before that, and which chipset drivers (theres only one for the latter tho I think?)

And then... how do i actually install  the BIOS? I just know last time was a massive pain (I had to update for Ryzen 3600 support )

Do I have to extract the bios files yes or no?

Do i put all files on USB stick or just the bios file itself ?

Should I install BIOS or chipset drivers first?

I really need a *step by step* instruction please li5, Im afraid...

I mean I downloaded a buch of BIOS's and chipset drivers, but I just dont know where to even start, too confusing. >.<

This is the "support page" (I guess?)

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350M-MORTAR#down-driver&Win10 64

PS: and yes, I definitely should update because I cant even install anything later than Windows 1909, and there are a couple of other weird issues too.

(GPU is a rtx 3070 if it matters)

TIA

The bios file should be a rom file of some sort, not a zip or other compressed file.

Format the USB to fat32

Put the ROM on the root of the USB (not it a folder or anything)

Power off your system

Put the USB in one of the motherboard ports

Boot into the bios

Find the bios update feature

Select that.

Select the usb

Update

And pray to every single god that the power doesn't go out (not required but strongly suggested)

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Ok, that helped me remember how it was last time...

I did that, no other files on the USB "no BIOS file found" ...  tried a million other combinations then and the *only* thing that worked was put the extracted folder *including* BIOS file + text file on the USB... wouldn't work without the text file lol - and there was something else, an "option"  , that i dont remember but i probably will when I see it.

But now which BIOS, Beta or regular (newest) and install chipset first or no?

The newest one with support for your CPU.

Chipset drivers you can install after the update.
