How to cool a ryzen 5900x in a mini itx case

Tempst

I’m trying to build a OC in a thermaltake the tower 100 case but I can only fit a 120mm aio, what’s the best cooler for a Ryzen 5900x, I don’t have a budget

It'll probably be the worse choice depending on which AIO, as some top of the line air coolers will outperform some such as the Dark Rock Pro 4 or Noctua NH-D15. Can you provide us more information about your build?

Do you guys think a MasterLiquid Maker 92 will be able to cool a ryzen 5900x?

I mostly agree with SpiderMan in that a good air cooler like the NH-D15 or Dark Rock Pro 4 could probably outperform most 120mm AIOs.

Have you read the reviews?

Consider the NH-U12A instead.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

The case I will be building on is a Thermaltake tower 100 which is a mini itx case, my motherboard is a MSI MPG B550I GAMING EDGE MAX. My case doesn’t fit a aio over 120mm and I need help finding a really good air cooler that’ll keep my cpu nice and cool, I’d prefer the cooler to be quiet and to be all black or rgb

The CPU is a Ryzen 9 5900x

Depends on the case and how much modding you are willing to do.

Any good tower cooler or 240mm AIO will be fine for a 5900x.

Your problem with that case is going to be airflow.  Like most TT stuff it is half A$$ed.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.
