AIO really loud when it has high rpm

DerTapp

Hello, first of all i want to apologize for my english. its not my native language.

I have the following problem with my AIO:

When it gets to high rpms it starts making weird sound. Like a ratteling.

I could view this while playing games or watching youtube in 4k but also when i just set the rpm very high in nzxt cam.

It starts at about 2300rpm (still relativly quite and gets really loud when it is at 2700rpm).

When its under that, then my aio is completly silent. So i dont think it is air bubbles.

My AIO is a NZXT Kraken X53 and i have the standard fans on it.

My Pump is orientated so the tubes go out on the left side. (did not fit on the right side because of the ram) and my radiator is mounted on the top of my case.

I would be happy to get some help on this. Maybe i just did something wrong.

What makes the noise?

If your pump is making noise, then that's concerning -- I'd lower the maximum RPM.  Frankly, there are people who say the pump should never even ramp up, and that does make sense.  All it's doing is moving water around.  If the water doesn't move as fast, it'll just get slightly warmer while on the block and cool back down when in the radiator.

If it' the fans, then the fans are probably going bad.  Not much you can do about that except lower THEIR max RPM, too, but then your cooling performance will weaken.

It is the pump that makes this sound.

I now put it on "quiet" mode so it will be much longer on low rpm. But still thats weird. i just bought this aio a month ago and it is already broken? thats said,,,

But thanks for your help ^^

If you've only had it a month, you should be able to return it.  It may be defective.  All we can say is that AIO pumps should not make any clicking noises 🙂
