Is it better a 4gb DDR4 gpu or a 2gb DDR5

So i saw that a 1030 with 4gb apeared wich i asumed is better than my 2gb 1030, but i saw that is ddr4 unlike mine wich is ddr5, should i buy the 4gb one or keep my 2gb gpu?

Are you running out of vram on your 2gb 1030?

 

Id say get the 2gb gddr5 card for most sues.

The gddr5 will perform a bit better than the ddr4 model in games.

i have the 2gb ddr5 and the gpu is starting to be a bottleneck on my pc (i have a i5 10400) and the gpu just cant keep up

The extra memory doesn't make it faster, and since ddr4 is much slower, the ddr4 card will be much slower in almost all uses, unless you need >2gb of vram. And with such a slow gpu you don't nomrally play at high enough details and resolution where that vram would be needed. If you want a upgrade, get a faster card, not just more vram.

The DDR4 version isn't just slower it's muuuuuch muuuuuch slower,i had a DDR4 GT 1030 and it was horrible.

Save your money and get a better GPU.

Yes.the ddr4 version is so much slower I got 3x less FPS on some games.

I also found the exact model,it's not worth it.A good upgrade would be the 4GB 1050 TI.

The GT 1030 is the 1050 ti but cut in half,so that upgrade would double the performance  literally.
