Cut off extra cable branch from PCIE power supply cable

Mambans

Hello
Quick question, is it safe to cut off the extra cable branch from power supply's PCIE cables (2 x 8 pins from one cable)?
Directly at the connector so they obviously cant touch each other.

Yup, totally possible. Just make sure you don't accidentally short the newly uncovered wire ends.

Why?  LOL!  Just zip tie it to the other so you can't see it.  It's going to look worse if you cut it unless you pop the pins out and cut them at the terminal.

You can hit it with some of this to insulate the cut wires:

Screwdriver specs: Long, pointy. Turns things. Some kind of metal.
