Best way to connect all my RGB

Nunong21

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect all my RGB.

Currently I'm having some issues and not all devices are showing, so I'll disconnect everything and try to set it all up and cable manage all the stuff.

The current gear I have is:

  • Case: Lian Li O11D XL
  • Motherboar: Asus x570-E Gaming (2 5v headers and 2 12v headers)
  • Cooler: NZXT Kraken X63 (No RGB fans, I'm gonna replace this in the next month to build my custom loop)
  • Fans: 6 Corsair QL120
  • Cables: Lian Li Strimer Plus (24 pins and waiting for the 3x8 pins to arrive)
  • RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z
  • Asus Addressable RGB Led Strip

And to control all the RGB I have:

  • Corsair Commander Pro
  • Corsair Lightning Node
  • EKWB EK-D-RGB 6-Way

So currently I have the Cooler connected to the motherboard via USB.

Then, my Commander Pro connected to the motherboard via USB and then the Lightning Node connected to the Commander Pro.

All my fans are connect to the Commander Pro and their RGB connect to the Lightning Node.

I connected the EKWB 6 Way spliiter to my motherboard on the 5v RGB header and then the Asus Addressable Strip to one ouput and the Lian Li Strimmer plus to another output.

Right now I'm having an issue with the Addressable Strip and the Strimer Plus.

Before, I had the Addressable Strip only connected directly to the motherboard and it was working well.

Now that I've bought the 6 way spliter and the Lian Li Strimer, the Asus addressable strip on show RGB lights on half of it, and the other half lights as white.

Also, the Strimer Plus works well when not paired to the motherboard (when controlled via the hardware controller), but after pressing the button for 3 seconds and indicated in the instructions, I get no lights on the Motherboard cable.

Am I doing something wrong? Doesn't the 6 way spliiter not work for what I want?

Or is there any better way of connecting everything?

Later I'm going to try and connect allt he cables again, but I was wondering if I could get someone else opinion.

Thank you!

are you talking about the lighting node PRO, CORE or the link lighting node? i ask because pluging the node core into the commander pro will work as that is how i have mine set up in my corsair 1000d case.
