what software would I use to make these

Hello. and yes I would consider this video making. I was watching some of these 

very funny videos and wondered. Could I make something like this with free apps that aren't cinema 4d hard to use? 

He probably used after effects tbh. But could I make something similar with free software?

Edit to add: there are a ton of free program alternative for most paid ones. Just google for example "Illustrator free alternative" etc.
