What would happen if I put 2 non identical nvidia GPUs in a pc? (could I use it for video encoding when I stream?)

Hello world,

my current gaming GPU is a gtx 1050ti (I've had it since the first iteration of my pc back in 2016/17), but I have also had a gtx 660 which I basically found in a dumpster. Could I utilise this second GPU simultaneously with my gtx 1050ti (which would be gaming) while the 660 would be encoding? The rest of my system is a 10600kf and the msi mag z490 edge wifi with 32gb 3200mhz ram.

You could, but you'd get worse performance, not better, and you'd also get worse quality. This is to say, it'd be pointless.

In theory yes you can, in practice, probably the game will stutter since you need to allocate enough cpu threads for it.

I suggest playing in your ps / xbox while you wait.

Im here for the science and the stupidity and Im willing to at least try cos Im also a bit bored and this only do me good in the tech department. So how could this be accomplished?
