Very high temps for my Ryzen 9 5900x

Yesterday I upgraded to from Intel i5-10400F to a Ryzen 9 5900X with X570 Dark Hero. It is cooled by the Corsair H150i Elite Capellix. While I love the upgrade, the temperatures have been really bogging my mind as they are quite unstable. idle temps usually are between 35-60c but when I do very light gaming like CS:GO (at 640x480 cause I have a effin GT 710), the temps sometimes go at 78c which imo is unacceptable seeing how I even haven't OC'ed the CPU.

I've double-checked that the aio pump and thermal paste have been applied properly. The AIO is positioned on the front of the case with the tubes facing downwards.

My case is the Corsair 220T and I have two fans on top and on the back.

Your temps are fine. The 5900X is a hot chip. Remember, the 10400F is 6C/12T and the 5900X is 12C/24T. That's double the cores in a similar package size.

Does your motherboard have an MCE or PBO setting enabled? if so, then that's not surprising at all.
