Are there any GPUs with variants with different memory types?

Do you think it would be appropriate to simply create a new product page for a card like the 1030 DDR4 version and only allow cards to have a single memory type? Apparently the memory base clock was also lower for the DDR4 1030, which results in a much lower memory bandwidth.

List them as separate cards.

For example TechPowerUp GPU database has two separate listings for the GDDR5 variant and DDR4 variant.

I'm building a charting tool for PC components. I'm working on the GPU data, and I'm not sure if I should set the "memory type" datatype to "list" or "string". Are there any examples of GPUs which were used to manufacture graphics cards with different memory types?

For example: AMD launches a "Vega 128" card and when you go to Amazon, you can buy a card from MSI with GDDR6 memory, or an ASUS card with HBM2 memory.

Thanks!

You won't see one with GDDR6 and another with HDM2 as HBM2 memory is built in to the GPU itself.

There are graphics cards that have different RAM though, such as the GT 1030 GDDR5 and GT 1030 DDR4 versions which is the first that comes to mind. https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3330-gt-1030-ddr4-vs-gt-1030-gddr5-benchmark-worst-graphics-card-2018

The same GPUs with the same type of memory (eg. GDDR6) but from different manufacturers such as Samsung or Micron is pretty common.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Ok. That makes sense. Thank you!

It’s happened in the past, some notable examples are the GT 1030 which has both GDDR5 and DDR4 versions. Another one would be a bit older, the ATI Radeon X1650 pro. The AGP variant of the card had 512mb of ddr2 while the pcie variant of the card had 256mb of gddr3. Same die, different interface and memory.
