Might want to build my First NAS

I do have a question regarding NAS.
I do have a Windows PC, a MacBook Pro, some iPhone's, some iPad's and a Linux pc.

Is there a way to have all my devices being able to back-up, store files on the same server.
It's because I want to group my iTunes library, movie's I do have stored as MKV on both my Macbook & Windows, ...
After having the NAS running well this way I could access all the files from my Windows pc to have them stored & accassible

in PLEX to everybody on my home network.

Already many thanks for a beginning IT'er
