question Looking for a gaming laptop in the average price range ($1000-$1300)

Hello!
I'm new here, and I came to ask some questions. I am currently looking for a new laptop. I have been wondering, which brand should i choose, but also which model. Im aiming at a gaming laptop within a price range of $1000 - $1300, so a bit above average. I like asus laptops, so if you have some reccomendations it would be nice, if you shared some models. 

I also want to know, would an RTX gpu be an overkill for me, or should a GTX 1660 Ti be fine, as I don't play AAA games - my current laptop is 7 years old (a dell inspiron 5537) and i mostly play minecraft - the only game it can handle. However, I want to get my hands on the good PC games I missed having a bad laptop. 
Any recomendations? Your gaming laptop experiences? Please share your thoughts on my questions and possilby answer them.

PS: Is the TUF Dash F15 FX516 good? It has nice specs and is in my price range.

1660 Ti or upcoming RTX 3050 Ti should be good. Check Lenovo Legion 5 with 1660 Ti, 4800H or 10750H and 144Hz screen (the 120Hz is "base" and has worse spec). HP Omen with similar specs also take good reviews. Ryzen 5800H + RTX 3060 newer options are also worth checking.

Its the one with the RTX 3060, but i dont mind the quad core CPU as I currently only have a dual core one

If you start playing more modern games you may end up being CPU limited - like Cyberpunk and friends. It has a relatively good price but there is a catch to it - you would buy a new laptop that is already "old" and will age badly. 6-8 cores is the norm nowadays.

Edit: If the Dash F15 is this bad, then should i look in the ROG series instead of the TUF series? And also look for a AMD cpu laptop?

Ogólnie 6+ rdzeni (Ryzen 4000 lub 5000, Intel 10 000 lub wyżej, ew 9000) i 1660 Ti jako podstawa. 2060 niewiele lepiej chyba że cena ta sama. 3060/2070 zdecydowanie lepiej - tyle że CPU musi być dobre. Plus sprawdź recenzje na notebookcheck konkretnego modelu by sprawdzić czy nie spartaczyli chłodzenia lub podobnie. Możesz też trafić na MSI/Dell z dGPU AMD - to zazwyczaj jest w okoli 1660Ti więc ~4000 PLN lub niżej.

Szukam laptopa tak do 5 koła, więc powiedz czy seria ROG asus jest dobra, bo Lenovo Legion 5 pytałem się eksperta i mi mówił że jest strasznie głośny i się będzie grzał, a poza tym to mi się nie podoba

Lenovo Legion jest dobry lub zły w zależności od serii. Legion 5 jest dobry i się nie grzeje ale Legion 7 już jest meh/poniżej oczekiwań, plus wcześniejsze 5 też były meh.

 

Asus to zależy która seria. Warto wrzucić ją w notebookcheck.

ok, dzięki, poszukam w necie. Czyli mówisz że jak w tej cenie to poszukać raczej z prockiem AMD a nie Intela? I co myślisz o seriach ROG strix albo zepherus?

Intel dobry o ile ma 6-8 rdzeni. AMD dobre o ile to seria 5000 lub 4000 przy odpowiedniej cenie.

Zephyrus całkiem fajny a Strix to jakby półka wyżej niż TUF - powinny być dobre tyle że droższe. Wszystko zależy od modelu.
