What is the bare minimum for AAA?

7nkn0wn

What graphics card would you recommend for running the bare minimum of the majority of AAA games, graphics quality is irrelevant, I just want things to run at at least 30 fps, preferably higher.

What res? Nearly anything can run a AAA game at 640x480. Nothing can run AAA at 16k

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

My 970 runs Watch Dogs Legion around 50 fps at 1080p, so I'm guessing GTX 1050 or something?

assuming 1080p 30fps at low to medium settings, a 1650 or a 1060 6gb for games today

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Preferably 1920x1080, my monitor is garbage but I do want to make the most out of it.

Then a rx480 4gb or 1060 3gb.

I can play flightsim at 1080p low at 20ish FPS, doom eternal 1080p high 60fps, and I have a 480 4gb

That sounds good but I would like at least 1-2 years redundancy when it comes to upgrading my graphics card, because I don't know when my economy is going to improve.

I forgot to say this earlier but i prefer nvidia, what would be the the recommendation?

I would suggest 1060 at 1080p maybe you can go 760 at 720p?

Gtx 970 or 980 4gb or 980ti 6gb are really decent 1080p cards.
