Low CPU and GPU usage during Valorant

CPU- AMD Ryzen 5-5600H

GPU- RTX 3060

RAM- 16GB DDR4

My Nitro 5 has a 144hz screen so I have capped it at 144fps. I expect constant 144hz because both my CPU and GPU are good so if I remove my fps cap it should give me much higher fps than 144. But it keeps fluctuating between 120-144fps with low % usage on both. Why is this? Please help!

Well if it can do well over 144fps the low usage at 144 makes sense.  I don’t know what the 120 thing is about. What number should you normally be getting for .1% lows?

Fluctuating frames per second is totally normal when rendering a dynamic environment on screen.

So yes fluctuating FPS is normal, also Valorant isn't that demanding and should run on that hardware OK so low usage.

disable v sync and see if it impacts anything.
