Is it possible to see hours played on games without special software

I saw that Radeon software (or something that looks like it) had like a time played tracker and I'm wondering is there any software that is most likely installed on my PC that has been tracking game time or do I have to use something external and start from 0? This is not including Steam games or games on clients with tracker this is for games that can't be tracked since they are on other client

I think there is no such software by default on windows.
If you want an alternative to steam for time tracking, i recommend playnite.

Well by such software it can be something common most people have installed such as antivirus or GeForce experience etc. Could you link me playnite?

Do you have a link with CDNs enabled?

Tech has come a long way!

 

 

Tbh i think its just buggy, try this i had to reload (go back and forth a few times with arrow buttons in your browser) then it loaded no issue on mobile.

BTW Steam does *not* track play time correctly whatsoever (it doesnt count "offline mode" for example)

I know it doesn't track offline hours but I'm online most of the time anyways so my Steam hours are the most accurate

I mean i did notice other irregularities as well, some games will update while they run for example, thats also counted as "playtime" then.

 

Ideally a game would only count time actually played, for example Tekken 6 does this, it doesnt count just sitting in the main menu for example.

i have absurd "play times" in some games, even though i wasnt even in the room and certainly not "playing".

"Up time" would be more accurate, but also similarly useless. To each their own of course though.
