Can i turn off VRR on my LG B9 OLED to fix HDR on many games?

A friend of mine has told me to turn off VRR on my LG B9 to fix my HDR issues. Is this complete bullshit? I thought VRR was a setting on either your Xbox or PC.

 

Would love to learn the truth on this matter.

You have to use the latest firmware to fix a lot of issues the 9-series had with G-Sync. On my C9 i can use VRR and HDR at the same time without issues. The only issues i have are because of a bad cable.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

My HDR on Doom eternal works perfectly but any Capcom game is complete shite.
