Should I go through with replacement? Is this bad backlight bleed?

Hickaru

In the day its fine but at night when im consuming content or playing a game its noticeable and I don't like it. I set up a replacement but I can cancel it if i want. Should I go through with the ips lottery? I mean I can replace as many times as I want I've ordered through amazon so that's a non-issue, will get a 7 day period which each monitor.

the night one is at lowest brightnes, the 2nd one in the day is at full brightness, the bleeding is mostly on the top and bottom left corners. I think the right one is mostly ips glow.

That seems to be IPS glow, not backlight bleed. The latter occurs around the edges, while the former appears in corners. Some amount of IPS glow is unavoidable, though this does look particularly bad. However, the degree it shows is dependent on lighting, viewing angles, distance from screen, etc., so your photos may or may not be truly representative.

In any case, if you think it's excessive, feel free to get a replacement. You didn't say what monitor this actually is, so it may just be a poor display, in general, and no amount of replacement will fix the problem.

That monitor has pretty bad black uniformity in general, but yours does look worse than it should be. This is the RTINGS review unit:

Hey, thanks a lot for your help, so glad I went for the replacement. This one is a LOT better, this is at 25 brightness about the same as the other one.

Wow. Yeah, that is a very big difference. Always hard to tell in photos exactly what you're seeing, but that's night and day. Glad you got one that works.

Do you think this is acceptable amount of blb at night with no lights on and 0 brightness? I'm not sure. During day time its perfect and this unit has almost no ips glow.

Along the top, find the screws at the back of the display, loosen/tighten them, should help with those 2 points of BLB.
