  • The fans are likely unnecessary and expensive
  • Not sure how that case does for air flow, but that's worth looking into
  • I wouldn't get that SSD, there are cheaper NVME options; I'd also get at least something 1TB or larger
  • Get CL16 RAM
  • I wouldn't buy an MSI motherboard
  • Check the pricing of the 11400, and if it's cheaper, I'd probably get it instead

Whats the problem with MSI motherboards? I honestly don't have a large enough sample size to dispute claims but my experience has been great. My evga motherboard isnt nearly as good (to be fair my EVGA motherboard older so that kinda makes sense). Also I agree on the ssd, buy something like a crucial mx500 1tb.

Samsung is faster but you dont need that speed unless you happen to like have a fast nas or something. It may also be slightly more reliable but back up your important data anyway cuz no matter what a drive can fail

Realistically, if you want the best gaming-specific PC for that budget, going last-gen AMD is not the play. This is what I would recommend (the 10600K at stock speeds is on average 12% than the 3600; and is cheaper)

Btw, don't buy any GPU's right now, that would be a terrible idea. Wait for the prices to come down on them 👍.

Also, everyone's next launch is going to be on new sockets, and with DDR5. I wouldn't recommend building right now, but if you have to, this is the way to go. I'd recommend just skipping current-gen entirely.

I agree with this, but would make a few minor tweaks (irrelevant really). But were are you sourcing the GPU?

I just entered a custom price for the 3070 because that's what it's supposed to cost in Australia 😅

Hence why I said wait for the prices to come down.

I personally wouldnt build a PC right now, unless i already had a GPU. Building now is kinda insane

Personally I've had nothing but problems with them, as has my father and the couple of friends I've recommended them to (totalling something like 15 boards between us), and their warranty support is pretty lacking, so I'll never suggest their products again.
