What's the oldest game you still play today?

Ripred

Just curious with all the 16 core 32 thread ,rtx 3090 rig's out there, what game's did you love so much you still play on PC today

Myself I still occasionally load up Battlezone from 1998

Ryzen 5800X3D(Because who doesn't like a phat stack of cache?) GPU - 7700Xt

                                                           X470 Strix f gaming, 32GB Corsair vengeance, WD Blue 500GB NVME-WD Blue2TB HDD, 700watts EVGA Br

~Extra L3 cache is exciting, every time you load up a new game or program you never know what your going to get, will it perform like a 5700x or are we beating the 14900k today? 😅~

Somehow my dad got this game on a random floppy disk in 1985 and I have been addicted to it since.

Anything older than 12 months is too old to be playable.

As far as PC games go, CS:GO. It's the only game I play regularly on PC if I'm being honest.
Across all systems?
Tetris. Does that count? I'm not playing NES Tetris or anything (don't have a CRT for it at the moment), but I've been playing Tetris Effect. Other than that, I've been playing through the Metal Gear Solid games and am about to do a run through on Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005.

Populous: The Beginning, released in 1998.

Sadly, I have to use Windows XP in a VirtualBox for it to play, but thankfully I have that option. (And yes, I still have the original disk, too.)

I play lots of games from the early-to-late 1990's on my PC, and a bunch of games that are even older, if counting NES games - Super Mario Bros. released in 1985, for example. I have Bio Menace, Chip's Challenge, Monster Bash, Keen Dreams, Hocus Pocus, Sim City 2000, Cyberia, Willy Beamish, Myst, Jazz Jackrabbit, and maybe some other early 90's games installed right now.

I also have Warcraft II, Star Wars: Dark Forces, Heroes of Might & Magic II, Might & Magic VI, Total Annihilation, TA: Kingdoms, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, BioForge, Betrayal at Krondor, Crusader: No Remorse, MDK, Need for Speed III, Moto Racer, Fallout II, Jagged Alliance 2, Worms Armageddon, SiN, and other games from the mid-to-late 90's installed.

I also have some remasters of mid-to-late 90's games installed, including the Command & Conquer remastered collection, Starcraft, and Homeworld remastered collection.

Some PC games I would still play released in the 1980s, like the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade point & click adventure game, which released 1989.

I have an RTX 3080. But I think I find old games more creative and interesting, and typically with better music than modern games.

I really love this game and still play it from time to time. I played it with my older brother as a kid back when it was first released. The art style, the unique training system. The game is just different from many RTS games even to this day.

The steam edition is not really any different from the standard "legacy" edition. But they release regular updates and are implementing steam multiplayer. Never tried it myself as i like to play the game against AI.

But the oldest game i still play regularly today is "Siege of Avalon" from 1998. The game is as old as i am, but still probably one of my favourite games of all time.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I was gonna include the oldest game I play, but seeing that this is for 16C/32T + RTX 3090 systems, and my having only a 12C/24T + RX 6900 XT, I guess I don't qualify.😜😁
