Alfa Represent!

 

I used to be deep in Italian cars. Alfas, Lancias, (real) Abarths, the occasional Maserati, TVR and an MGB.

It's why I"m broke now 😄

 

I have been fortunate to have owned both my dream cars.

I was in to the Italian stuff before cameras were everywhere, so I don't actually have any good pics on digital, some on film tho.

My 308gt4 is red(ish) but will ultimately be black, once the rest is sorted (long about the heat death of the universe I suspect)

Reminds me of the Vauxhall Zafira VXR. The VXR came out when I was a teen, and it was the fastest MPV in the world back then.

Having owned a few cars I'd dreamt about previously, the only older car I really would love to have is a 1973 DeTomaso Pantera.  Future cars are evolving so fast it's too hard to quantify.

I paid 15k for my basket case 308GT4.

Fully restored one (granted, restored by the "right" people) will touch that as well.

It's the 1980s all over again (for those not in the know, the Japanese, flush with cash from a booming economy, would buy up anything Italian and over restore them, so even junkers were going to stupid money)

If money were no object I'd say a 1998 911 GT1. A few were produced in a street variant for homologation. I've loved that car ever since I first saw it in Need for Speed Porsche.

 

If we're being slightly more realistic, I'd say either a 911 GT3 RS (991.1/2) or an 2016 or newer Audi R8 V10+, I've driven both and I'm willing to do unspeakable things to my bank account in order to own one at some point. It's not so much the performance as it is the handling and the sound of these cars that I just love. Both sound absolutely epic in their own right, the GT3 RS in particular is really unique though.
