How to set 21:9 with 16:9?

I have Dell P3421W 21:9 and LG HDR 4K 16:9

I want to set up dual screen but the resolution drops dramatically on both when they are together. Both on 1920 x 1080

What would be max I can go when they are both connected? How do you best set this up please?

Uhm, why would you want 2 completely different dislpays like that working as 1 "virtual" monitor? I don't even see a usecase for that tbh.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Ok, I got it! I am using docking station and for some reason it didn't work correctly. I need monitor at docking station and 1 directly connected to laptop's HDMI and both monitors are now at maximum resolution!

Just extending it gave me the resolution problems as Stahlmann mentioned. I thought my docking station would deal with it but I had to connect monitors to separate inputs on laptop to make this work
