Need help choosing a monitor

Hello,

I need help choosing my next monitor. I currently play Valorant and Warzone, but mostly use my PC for school and work (coding). I have a GTX 1080Ti and a 1440P IPS 80Hz Qnix. I want to upgrade to a better 1440P screen. I am considering upgrading my GPU to a 2070S for DLSS to get higher FPS.

I would like it to be 1440P. I think IPS is the best... but VA is also good now? I would like Gsync or Freesync and 144Hz+

I have the option of a Gigabyte G27Q for 350$ (CAD) or Samsung G7 $650 (CAD).

I am not sure what the better buy is. Is there also a better screen I should consider?

Thanks

Between the G27Q and G7, objectively the G7 is better. Doesn't mean you'll like it more (or like it twice the price much).

Generally speaking, the more you spend on the monitor, the more of every spec you can have.

The difference between the G27Q and G7 are size, panel backlight, panel quality, curvature, and color coverage among other things. Some specs matter, some don't; also depends on what you are looking for.
