Android - A way to reset a malfunctioning phone?

Shader Kite

Hi. So my old Pixel 4a 5G doesn't work anymore due to water damage. You cannot power it on. But I did not reset it before it stopped working.

Currently, I'm selling it on eBay and some people already want to buy it. Is my data safe? Would they be able to extract my data and maybe use my PayPal, bank account, Google Play credit card etc.? If so, is there a way to prevent it?

Thanks in advance

If your phone has a passcode, it likely is encrypted. Also, you can kill sessions or sign out on devices for most online services.

Water damage can be fixed. I suggest you take it to a technicians to clean it up. Once the corrosion all cleaned up, it should be working again.

Hopefully there's no fried chips.

Once you can get access, reset the device.

Do you have all that info WRITTEN inside the phone?

If not just go to each services and remove your phone.

It's been to a repair service, and they said they couldn't fix it.
