[Help Needed] Unable to render ESXi VM stream on Linux

Background

Host: Custom NUC (i9-10880H) running ESXi 7.0U1 (patched with USB ethernet adapter drivers) with no vCenter Server

Virtual Client: Windows 10 Pro

Access Client: HP EliteBook Resolve 810 G1 (i7-3687U) running Elementary OS 5.1.7 with VMware Workstation 16 Pro

Procedure

- Open up VMware Workstation 16 Pro

- Connect to the host using "Connect to Server"

- Remotely control a virtual machine

- No video stream (only artifacts from another tab)

- All mouse/keyboard inputs operational

Notes

- Works if I access from VMware Workstation 16 Pro on Windows 10 Pro or VMware Fusion 12 Pro on macOS Big Sur

- May be a display driver issue, but there is no dedicated graphics on the EliteBook, and I can't find the option to render the stream in other ways

- I'm not an advanced Linux user, only equipped with basic knowledge

Please let me know if you have experienced, or are able to reproduce and resolve the issue, or you have recommendations on what packages I may be missing. Thanks!
