Resizable Bar on B550 Tomahawk and MSI 3080 Ventus 3X

thaidanh

Hello,

I'm trying to enable ReBar on the 3080 but currently in the system info, it's showing as off. I have ReBar enabled in the BIOs and updated the VBIOs couple days ago.

Current BIOs is 7C91vA5 and CSM is currently turned off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is this an attempt at an acronym by any chance? When I think of rebar I think of steel rods used to reinforce concrete. The word isn’t even searchable as anything else.  Is there another name it goes by or is there a merely unusually incompetent marketer somewhere?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I think it's meant to be the new acronym for Resizable BAR. Acronym for an Acronym AFAA?

@thaidanhDo you have Resizable BAR enable with Nvidia? I don't have a Nvidia GPU, but I'd imagine it's in the GeForce Experience somewhere.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I tried looking there. No good on that one. NVidia just wanting to make things really difficult I guess

if the Vbios update did not help. try updating the bios of the motherboard. if that did not work you have to wait for new bios/Vbios or return the gpu and get another one.

I have seen a lot of reziable bar problems lately. more In the Nvidia section but AMD has some issues with it too apperantly
