Need help with planning PC for VR

rubseltje

Budget (including currency): €500,-

Country: Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR Gaming and sim games with Oculus Quest 2 and Oculus Rift

Other details: I am using an MSI 1080ti at the moment which I will NOT be upgrading in the near future with these prices unfortunately 😢

I was wondering what CPU and mobo I should get for the new rig.

Right now I'm using an intel 8400 on a MSI B360M Mortar.

Since the new MoH game has a minimum req of an i7 9700k I was wondering whether I should upgrade my system and if so, should i "futureproof" with something like an i9 10900f or 11900f or something?

And does Z590 have any advantages over B560?

Thanks in advance!

1.Future proofing isn't a thing,plus the 11900k is terrible,it shouldn't even exist.the 10900k is pretty good though.

2.if you want to get a high end CPU then it's only natural you get a Z590 and a K series CPU as you can overclock it and (hopefully)make use of the extra features of a high end motherboard.Although I reccomend against the 11th gen I7's and I9's.
