Can’t post with DOCP

I’m new to complete custom to it yourself build.

ive beaten most issues so far but I’m stuck on this one here.

When I try docp to get the rated speeds it sets the volts to 1.4, which I hear is the max you would want? 
but the system keeps restarting and ends up posting in safe mode so I can remove the docp. 
I can only get it to start using 3600mhz with fclk on 1800.

even if I manually set to 3800 with 1900 fclk it won’t post with that either.

The problem is mostly Fclock. 95% of Ryzen 5000 CPUs cant post much beyond if beyond 1800 Fclock.

4000mhz with 4 dimms? I dont see that happening. If you can maybe mess around with soc and vddg/vddp voltages maybe you can get it to 3800 but I really doubt you can hit 4000mhz with 4 dimms.

Zen 3 Ryzen will not be able to run 4 sticks at 4000 MHz unless:

A. You win the silicon lottery

B. You pump a crazy amount of volts through it, threatening to murder your CPU

128GB of RAM at 3600 is a nice accomplishment. I'd keep it.

Though, if you want, you could try tightening your timings to 3600 C16-16-16-44.

It's not guaranteed to work, though, and it doesn't offer much - if any - performance gains.

so I should be happy with the 3600 then it sounds. 
never heard anywhere that 4 sticks would be more limited with their total speed X_x’

had I known that I could have got the 3600 sticks for much cheaper.

 

RoG advertises the dark hero board saying that the board itself already knocks off 2 from the 18 timings.  Though I’m not sure if that’s a setting I have to turn on.
