ASUS TUF FX505GD getting more FPS on external monitor than in Laptop Screen

froos64

Hello LTTForum-ers! I own a ASUS TUF FX505GD (i5 8700H , GTX 1050). When I play CSGO on my laptop as is, I get around 60-70 fps at high graphics but if I connect an external Monitor (1920x1080@60hz) and game on it (Use Second Screen only and turning off laptop screen) I get around 200-240 fps! What causes this drastic difference in FPS?

it sounds like maybe CSGO isn't using the dedicated GPU when it's being run on the internal display. Try going to Display Settings -> Graphics Settings -> Graphics Performance Preference and setting CSGO to always use the High Performance GPU and see if the performance on internal panel improves.
