USB-C Type Docking Station + HP EliteBook ... + old Monitor setup *confused*

Hi,

im kinda confused with all these monitor/cable/docking Station setup -  I hope some of you can point me to an easy to understand solution 😉

I reasonly upgrade to an HP EliteBook 850 G7 which does no longer support the old Docking Station so I had to go for the USB-C type one and because of the current shortage of original HP I brought this one

my main problem is that it does not detect both monitors and the one it does detect is not even shown with 1920p resolution native.

my cable setup is the following

* 2 PC

* 2 Monitor (DVI,HDMI)

i connected the docking station DP => DVI left Monitor and DP => HDMI Right Monitor - and only the HDMI connection is even detected.

( I did that so I would have 1 computer => monitor speaker system on each of my 2 rigs ( private, company) ) It even worked before with a surface 3 docking Station. And It also worked with the "old" HP D9Y32AA 2013 ( I only removed the DP from the old dock and inserted it into the new USB-C dock)

Do I have to buy new monitors now with DP port for it to work properly?
