As title say, is it really end of price to performance Graphic Cards. This is the end of gaming industry we all remember?. Now no more good money deals for GPU, tomorrow overpriced CPU-s. RAM already is more expensive. What we can expect next year.

Next year COVID will hopefully be ending (at least here in the US) and shortages should hopefully die down.

Doesn't affect me though since I'm not interested in Ampere cards.

What do you think will happen next year?

It was far worse in the 1980's. Modern day is no different. There was a reason computers were capable of having more memory but flat out didn't have it in the mid 80's.

Perhaps

I would be surprised though, if the gaming industry toppled just like that

My PCs: Desky | Beddie | Miney | Benchie

Things I need help with: (nothing at the moment)

Spoiler

none atm

I hate Intel's pricing, Ryzen's weird quirks, Nvidia's pricing, and Radeon GPUs in general

Spoiler

Products I like:

Spoiler

Sony Xperia Z1 / Z2 / 10 ii, Asus Strix 970 / 1070, Samsung SSD, WD HDD, Corsair PSUs (AX, RM, CX(grey)), GeForce GPU, NZXT N450/S340, be quiet! Coolers, G.Skill Trident RAM, Logitech M525, Logitech G440, Razer Deathadder Elite

Products I hate:

Spoiler

Xperia Z3, XiaoMi 5c, Radeon GPUs, Razer Audio Products, any bloatwares

Companies I absolutely adore: (and hope it stays that way)

Spoiler

be quiet! - sent me AM4 mounting for my DRP3 even though it's way past the timeframe stated, no questions asked

Corsair - very good RMA experience, absolutely recommend

Companies I hate:

Spoiler

Nvidia, Intel, Apple, TMT (Thundermatch, a retailer)

Personal Blacklisted Companies:

Spoiler

Acer: shit tier quality products, shit tier customer service thus far, they "tried" to solve my issue but they arent really doing anything but delaying and delaying. (on-going case since July)

Gigabyte: horrible customer service (gigabyte had literally 0 customer service, asked me to go to retailer with NO WAY to email them about a question) but at least they fixed my shit in ONE MONTH (would probably take me 1 hour to fix if they let me email them)

XiaoMi Phones: built like a tank but the software is buggy as all hell

Seagate HDD: had too many dead seagate drives

Kingston SSD: 300V controller swap thingy

Razer (except their mouse)

Remember, just because I had good/bad experiences with these companies/product, doesn't mean you will have similar experiences too. I would still recommend these products if they made sense for your needs, but I'll add a disclaimer of my experience if it's relevant. Feel free to DM me asking why they are where they are.

I don't think so, but PC building is basically dead right now and has been for several months. I hope this doesn't go on much longer...but I think cryptocurrency mining will affect GPU availability for a while.

I was planning on building a new PC this year with an upgraded GPU but that's obviously not happening. I'm hoping for 2022.

Current System: MSI B450M Mortar Titanium, AMD Radeon 570 8GB (ASRock enclosure), AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB Corsair Vengeance PRO RAM 3200 MHz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair 280X Chassis

I think Radio Shack did very well in the 80's, probably better than today

What do you think will happen next year?

Didnt u lot recently 'celebrate' your one year anniversary of '15 days to flatten the curve' ? 😛

Some would say your being a bit to optimistic haha.

UK aint much better tbh.....heh ..really can only laugh at this point.

I think both Nvidia, AMD, and intel, will use the current supply issue and resulting price hikes, to once again increase prices across the board, and keep them there even once supply is no longer a problem. To many ....i dont want to say 'dumb' ..but ...'not very money savy' ..people have bought hardware at the inflated prices. Effectively telling Nvidia, AMD ..Intel ...that its OK to charge higher prices.

CPU: Intel i7 3930k w/OC & EK Supremacy EVO Block | Motherboard: Asus P9x79 Pro  | RAM: G.Skill 4x4 1866 CL9 | PSU: Seasonic Platinum 1000w | VDU: Panasonic 42" Plasma |

GPU: Gigabyte 1080ti Gaming OC w/OC & Barrow Block | Sound: Asus Xonar D2X - Z5500 -FiiO X3K DAP/DAC - ATH-M50S | Case: Phantek Enthoo Primo White |

Storage: Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSD + Samsung 850 Evo 256GB SSD | Cooling: XSPC D5 Photon 270 Res & Pump | 2x XSPC AX240 White Rads | NexXxos Monsta 80x240 Rad P/P |

No idea. I don't pay attention to such things since I'm a minor.

I see three options:

1. Prices go up

2. Prices stay the same

3. Prices go down

I don't see prices staying the same.

I also see it unlikely that prices will go down unless something major changes.

So I guess parts will get more expensive, yay!!

Intel's the only one proven to not have a "shortage" which can be seen by their in-stock 11th gen lol.

If the current administration doesn't do something about the tarriffs, it will just go up

If the foundry in Texas gets put up quickly, that should change the prices, but we will see.
