GPU Usage at 50% but not pulling out 144fps

MrFlo

Hey,

I actually have an RTX 3070, and when I play warzone, I get 100w minimum usage and 180w maximum ! That is so much lower compared to what it can draw in 3dmark (up to 300w) and even lower that what it should consume (220w)… Even my old 1060 can go to 98% usage… It wouldn’t be a problem if it pulled out 144 fps every time but it doesn’t (I would say 90-100 fps average, with some stutters occasionally)..

Also, this is the only game that does it.. EVEN CYBERPUNK WORKS !! (it draw 260w without dlss and 190w with dlss on)

Do you have any fix ??

(I already tried almost all youtube videos about it and redownloaded the game)

So if it is only with warzone, I would try to reinstall it (I know how big the game is) or driver reinstall. And also, if u have friend, try gpu in his pc and try warzone there. There is software issue. So I would go from driver to the game scripts.

I already reinstalled it and with the quarantine in my country putting the gpu on another pc won’t be easy…

Full specs? Sounds like your cpu is holding it back. Warzone is more cpu intensive while cyberpunk munches your gpu so thats most likely why youre seeing low/high usage. Obviously your much weaker gtx 1060 is going to see higher usage

yoru cpu is the bottleneck here.

Warzone is very cpu heavy game. even my 3700x runs at over 90% usage and gpu around 90-100% too (5700XT)

also 3070 is very highj end gpu. Ryzen 5 3600 is decent cpu, but at cpu heavy games like Warzone it will hold the gpu back.

My 3600 runs at 55% so I don’t really know… Maybe its just intensive on like 3 cores and the others don’t do anything.. I don’t know
