Interested in buying headphones for competitive gaming. Thinking of getting 6xx, 58x, or 38x.

So I am looking for headphones mainly for gaming. I play FPS games where knowing the direction of enemies and listening to small sound queues are important. My budget is around 300 dollars. I listen to music occasionally but it's not that important. I have a desk mic. Any suggestions?

The 58x are good at imaging and probably the best for competetive gaming. Not sure about the 6xx or 38x. You'd probably want a good headphone amp to pair with sennheiser headphones since the step up in audio quality can be quite good. As for the amp. Since your budget is 300 dollars. The sound blaster G6 would suit you great since you mostly game and it has tons of easy to access features in its software that you'd like.
