Alterantive M.2 slot mounting standoff and screw?

Bought my motherboard used (Gigabyte b450 gaming x) and it does in fact have a m.2 slot. Buying used isnt always a great thing but I got this for a really good deal. Had to zip tie my cpu cooler and did not get an i/o shield either. Now wanting to add a M.2 SSD to my system only to remember I did not recive the standoff or screw to mount the drive. Not sure if its that important but what is a good alternative SSD mounting.

You actually don't need to screw down an M.2 drive, even though it's recommended to do so. As long as you aren't moving the computer around, just leaving the drive sitting in the slot at an angle will function fine and won't cause damage.

The slot is under my gpu so is it fine if they are touching?

Ah, that could be a bit of a problem. Do you have electrical tape? If so, you could tape down the top and bottom of the drive to keep it from touching. You just want to make sure the PCBs aren't making contact with each other.

Not sure if this is true but by the looks of it it seems that the drive would be in contact with the gpu's cooler which is plastic.

If it's only the plastic shroud of the cooler, you should be fine with just leaving it hanging there at an angle then.

I would at least use a ziptie, thread through the 80mm and 110mm holes, don't leave it hanging there. 
(I asume you have standard 80mm long SSD, that's why i said 80mm and 110mm holes)

How would that work? M.2 drivers have a semicircle where you screw it in. It's not a hole that you can loop a ziptie through.

It's not a hole? Sorry it looks like a hole on pictures that i found, on white background. 

 

ahh, then just use 2 ziptie. thread one through the 60 mm and 80mm holes, and then just ziptie the SSD to that ziptie
