Is there any way to have a online MC game without a server?

Yeah, ive got 2 options for a pc. But I dont have Ethernet to the room theyre in, so it would be a pain. thats why im hosting on my pc.

Papermc is not a plugin it’s a fork of the main minecraft server, and yes you should use it. If your using Linux don’t download the one from the OS repos use the one on the papermc website. Also if you need I found an update script for paper that I could post here.

Id probably not update it. I don't want issues to arise.

From my experience there has been no issues, and most of the updates are bug fixes.
