So those are the parts i ordered, i installed the heatsync, no problem, setup the modular power supply to have the main board power cable, and the cpu power cable, easy going so far. Hooked up the main board power, and cpu power, then hooked up the case connectors(power button, reset switch, hdd led, etc...) no problem.... Then i went to turn it on to test if it would post, and nothing... the fans didnt even turn on, no error lights turning on on the board, so i thought it might have been because i was using the wrong power supply toggle button selection, so i flipped the switch on the power supply, still nothing! so i thought what if it was the case's power button, so i swapped cases, and STILL nothing, so i thought it was the power supply, so i switched it out with a power supply i KNOW works, and still...nothing...turns...on.... its frustrating me enormously, im really hoping i didnt get a board that is dead on arrival.

any suggestions on what else i can do to get it to post?

Are you sure you plugged everything in to the motherboard (specifically the power button) correctly? No lights at all sounds like either the motherboard isn't getting the 'power-on' signal, or you didn't plug in all the power supply cables.

I'd double check your motherboard manual to make sure you're plugging the front-panel connections into the right header in the right positions, or you can try shorting the two power switch pins together manually with a screwdriver or paperclip or something.

Also, does the PSU fan spin when you try to turn the pc on?

yes, and no, absolutely no lights, not even the error lights above the main power connector.

i already checked the manual, and i did everything it said. i also tried to jump the two power switch pins already, and nothing.

And no, neither one of the PSUs i tried turned on
