Best GPU to pair with 3600x?

Pretty simple question. I've been looking and apparently the RTX 2070 super and the RTX 3060 are good. It looked like the 3060 didn't bottle neck too terribly. I didn't get to looking at ATI GPUs compared to a 3600x, so I'm interested to hear opinions on those. Thanks in advance guys!

givven the current gpu shortage, any gpu you can find for a decent price is a good pair.

a 3600x is a good cpu that would work well with any existing gpu.

Yeah, I have an older GTX 1050 ti that I use but I'm just doing research so I know what to grab when the time comes.

I suggest going with 3060ti since its better than 2080s and the 3060 is better than 2060 or 2060s and the difference in price not that much and the cpu can handle it!

The AMD graphics card that competes with the 3060 isn't released yet, presumably it will be something like an RX 6700 or an RX 6600 XT. For similar performance, an RX 5700 XT would come close.

 

For a Ryzen 5 3600X, you can pair pretty much any GPU you want with it. It's not a bad CPU, and you'll get performance gains all the way to the top of the stack.

So 1080p 144hz. What is your budget for a GPU? Theoretically a 3600x could fit with a 3080 with little bottleneck, even at 1080p

for 1080p144, 3060ti or 3070 will probably last u quite a long time

3060 is good enough for today, but some games will not hit 100+fps on high

 

3080 is a tad overkill

I don't have a specific budget yet, I'm still saving some money for it, just trying to have some forethought.

3060ti/3070. Honestly anything over a 3060 is overkill for 1080p, also make sure your PSU is sufficient enough for one of these cards

If waiting is a viable option for you, graphics card prices will be a lot more favorable for you. 

 

If you're still saving money, saving for longer is a good approach.

This is a pretty decent budget unit. Highest GPU I would go with this is a 3070

1070 to 3080 is fine, even 3090 barely held back in a handful of games...

From experience I have a 3600x and I would go say anything from a 1070 to a 2080ti since 30 series cards are impossible to get right now, and from the amd side anything from an RX 580 to an RX 6600 XT or RX 6700.
