Are there any utilities to check the health of a Hard drive?

But keep a drive backed up as they can fail with no warning.

I recall using one but I cant remember what it was unfortunately.

That's the one thanks and yeah ideally unfortunately im limited on the drives I can have, in anycase one drive was just loud af when writing and had me concerned but it seems based on CDI there is nothing to worry about.

Some higher capacity drives from Toshiba are noisy by design, so hopefully whatever drive you have just so happens to be a noisy one.

Its an old drive so it seemed to be a curious noise but I recently removed my front panal for better air flow since I started to casually mine. But yeah of course it made things louder, thus my concern.
