Is it different from a regular 3.5mm jack?

Thats a normal 3.5mm jack, it will plug into the back of your pc.

I have the mobo MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk that has "Coaxial s/pdif" but I don't understand what type of speaker cables to buy to connect it, rca cables, aux/3.5mm, etc.?

What are you connecting it to?

THere are optical audio cables for spdif, and coax rca cables for digitial coax audio.

But go hdmi if you can for audio.

I want it mostly for gaming and music, nothing much.
