18650 replacement for Laptop battery pack

Devryd

Hi
I am planning to rebuild my laptops battery pack. I already have a spot welder and a charger, which can measure the capacity of the batteries. Does anyone have recommendations on which battery to use?

If you already have a spot welder, go for it. any 18650 will work but I would get something with 3000mah or more.. VTC6 are recommended by many, but you won't need a cell with high amp draw. Maybe something like LG MJ1 - found this site for 18650 tests https://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/LG 18650 MJ1 3500mAh (Green) UK.html

But in reallity you can use any. I would use quality ones from samsung, sony or LG

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15 with one fan

FS in Denmark/EU:

Asus Dual GTX 1060 3GB. Used maximum 4 months total. Looks like new. Card never opened. Give me a price.

I still have some 18650 cells at home, I will test them tomorrow and then decide if I need different ones. They seem to be a little hard to get, here at the moment.

Sanyo/Panasonic NCR18650GA I have 6 of these, which are nearly new. I guess they should be sufficient, Tomorrow, I will know more, after I tested them
