Sades T Power Mic issue?

So I got this sades T power headset with my ps4, and I know that it has seperate mic and speaker 3.5mm jacks, but I thought that if I plug the mic only I can still record with it. But the ps4 didn't detect it, so I tried my chromebook and all it detected is a "Line Out" in the speaker section. Then I tried my hp workbook with seperate jacks too, so it detected it, but it didn't hear any audio fro it, does that mean it doesn't work? I really want to solve it.
